Friday Inspiration: FUDGE POPSICLES by Smitten Kitchen

We stumbled upon this goodie reading our daily blog roll. If you have not yet been to Smitten Kitchen, please go and give Deb and her lovely blog a visit. It's smart, unfussy and has really nice photography. Anywho, she has this recipe for Fudge popsicles which looks so yummy, taking you back to your younger days, where the closest you got to a fudge popsicle was Jello Pudding Pops feat. Bill Cosby.

Jessica's Summer Essentials

The lovely proprietor of Sabia, Jessica, is with us this week to share her summer essentials.
She and Sabia's mascot, Peanut, got together for an impromptu photo shoot to show us what's what to keep you looking fresh and feeling hydrated during these dog days of summer....

HAIR:  Protect your delicate tresses with the Phytoplage range of products formulated specifically to combat the havoc that sun, chlorine, and salt that can wreak your hair.
Phytoplage beach spray is genius, its easy to transport and highly effective as a sunscreen for the hair in a lightweight and pleasant smelling formula. What more can you ask for, really?
Phytoplage hair and body wash delicately strips chlorine and salt and sand from the hair while moisturizing and treating the hair.

FACE: Ten years in at Sabia and Primrose facial cleansing masque by Aesop remains my all time favorite product. It's the perfect balance of cleansing, detoxifying, delighting the senses all while leaving a rosy glow behind.

CLEANSE: Clarisonic cleansing brush helps all of your expensive and valued products penetrate more effectively. The brush exfoliates and deep cleanses and removes makeup the way no washcloth or naked hand can!

MOISTURIZE: Herbal Healing Emulsion by The Inventive Line - This is my hero product!!! This gem of a gel hydrates, heals, soothes and protects while leaving no greasy residue. The amazing minty clean botanically rich smell is really just a bonus. Did I mention that this is locally produced? Double bonus!!

Hugs & Love.....Jessica & Peanut :)

Lauren's picks for the Summer

Favorites, essentials and must haves. We all have them. They change from time to time, but there are products that we can all attest that are kept in our bathroom cabinets and purses always. The lovely Lauren shows us her latest faves for summertime.
From L-R:

1. Elemental Mineral Mist by The Inventive Line -
Lauren says: This stuff feels so AMAZING on your face. Whether you use as a toner or a simple refresher throughout the day, it's calming and cooling. The cucumber smells and feels so fresh, in addition to calming any redness. It's also very soothing if you have any sun or wind burn. Quick tip: I spray mine on top of my makeup for a youthful dewy glow.

2. Patio Oil by Jao -
This is a brand new addition to the fantastic line of Jao products we already love. It's their version of an insect repellent. It's DEET free, it smells good and it keeps the nasty mosquitos away!

3. Phytomist -
Basically this product is a leave-in conditioner, especially for color-treated hair, but it does so much more! I use it anytime I go out in the sun, it hydrates and controls static. You can use it daily.

4. Phyto 9 -
This is a botanical lotion for your hair. All hair types can use it daily. It's especially good when hair is dry and parched from the sun to help control flyaways. I use a pea size amount on wet hair and style as usual and sometimes add throughout the day for softer, shinier hair.
